Thinking About Moving to Spectacular Idaho? Here’s What Magical Blanchard Valley Offers to You
You probably already know that StoneRidge offers you great recreation, panoramic scenery, and a neighborly community that are drawing new residents from all over the West and even farther away. But what about some of the other basics of life? What’s the climate like and what about important services?
The ideal climate
North Idaho enjoys a true four-season climate. Spring and summer temperatures are warm and pleasant, while fall brings a veritable explosion of brilliant colors and crisp, sunny days. And despite its far north location, winters at StoneRidge are surprisingly temperate, while still offering plenty of snow for outdoor activities. Since Blanchard Valley is sheltered on three sides by mountains ranging up to 5,000 ft., StoneRidge is protected from the rough weather experienced by other places in the Northwest.

Superior health care
StoneRidge is surrounded by superior health care facilities just 30 minutes away. The Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur D’Alene is an award-winning regional health care center. And the Bonner County General Hospital in Sandpoint has a physician staff of over 40 in a variety of specialties including MRI technology. The hospital also has an on-site heliport offering critical transport to Spokane, a major medical center in the inland northwest.
Spokane County serves as the regional health care hub with four full-service hospitals, two of which are the second and third largest in the state. A host of other medical facilities includes The Heart Institute of Spokane, a world-renowned heart-transplant institution, St. Luke’s Rehabilitation, and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Close to transportation and services
StoneRidge is easily accessible, yet nicely tucked away. The setting combines easy access and convenience with peace and solitude. Airports servicing both commercial and private planes are located in both Spokane and Coeur d’Alene.
Besides being close to Coeur D’Alene and Spokane, we are just 45 minutes southwest of Sandpoint, Idaho. All of these areas have extensive shopping and recreational facilities in addition to those close-by to StoneRidge.
